I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering in Information Systems (2022) and a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering (2024), both from the University Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain.
Since 2022, I have been working as a researcher at the Data Science and Big Data Lab, initially through a research initiation grant and later as a hired member of the team. My research focuses on the development of efficient machine learning and deep learning models to address real-world sustainability challenges. I am especially interested in topics such as energy efficiency, pollution reduction, and the design of frugal artificial intelligence systems. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, beginning in the 2024/2025 academic year, with a research line centered on efficient machine learning models for sustainability challenges.
In addition to my research work, I have taught several courses at the University Pablo de Olavide since the 2023/2024 academic year. These include “Programming Fundamentals” (in C and Java) for the Degrees in Computer Engineering and Biotechnology, “Software Engineering” for the Degree in Computer Engineering, and “Digital Forensics” for the Double Degree in Law and Criminology.
I have also collaborated in a research project in partnership with the company Isotrol, focused on root-cause analysis for predictive maintenance in wind farms, applying explainable two-level clustering techniques. This collaboration lasted for one year and allowed me to deepen my knowledge of industrial applications of machine learning in the energy sector.
My main areas of interest include sustainable and energy-efficient computing, frugal AI, environmental impact reduction and the development of practical, scalable machine learning solutions.
